Chocolingua began with La Profe Romero’s passion for bilingual education and her journey as an immigrant adjusting to a new culture. Inspired by language exchanges, she envisioned something warmer than a traditional “language café.” Blending her love for chocolate and lingua (Latin for “language”), Chocolingua was born—a family mission to share bilingualism through joy, culture, and connection.
The Chocolingua Method is a one-of-a-kind blend of proven techniques like Comprehensible Input (CI) and TPRS®, shaped by real classroom experience. Our immersive, story-based approach uses movement, music, and culture to make learning joyful and lasting. We align with CEFR and ACTFL standards to ensure every learner makes meaningful, measurable progress.
At Chocolingua, we support bilingual learners of all ages through immersive Spanish and ESL instruction that connects language with culture and real-life experiences. We also empower educators with engaging, classroom-tested resources. Soon, our bilingual lifestyle shop will further celebrate and support multilingual families and learners everywhere.
Spanish Immersion Pods in Montclair offer playful, in-person learning led by Nataly Romero. Kids explore language through stories, music, art, and culture—all in Spanish. Small groups, big fun, lasting impact.
The Chocolingua Spanish Program for Adults helps learners build confidence and fluency in Spanish through an engaging and structured approach. Whether you’re starting from scratch or strengthening existing skills, our program offers a clear path to effective, real-world communication.

We worked with Ms. Romero over the spring and it was a wonderful experience! She was very thoughtful about how to teach my children of different ages (10, 8, and 4). Made the classes fun yet very educational. My kids enjoyed her sessions immensely and looked forward to them every week. In the first 6 sessions they were learning basic spanish and it ignited their desire to practice and learn more. We look forward to taking more lessons with Ms. Romero!
La Profe Romero is the best! My daughter (5) took Spanish immersion classes recently and it was a very fun and engaging experience for her. Lots of songs and games to help with Spanish learning. Resources are provided for after class to practice at home. We’re so happy we found this local Spanish language program. We plan to attend more classes in the future, highly recommended!
