Chocolingua Academy is looking for responsible and enthusiastic Bilingual Teacher Assistants (Spanish–English) to join our in-person language programs for children. This hourly role is perfect for high school and college students interested in education, childcare, or bilingual learning. As a Teacher Assistant, you’ll work alongside lead instructors to help create a safe, fun, and supportive classroom environment. Experience working with children is a plus.

High school and college students are encouraged to apply. Applicants under 18 must have a legal work permit and/or parental consent.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist instructors during in-person Spanish–English classes for toddlers, children, and teens
• Support classroom activities, small-group work, and student supervision
• Prepare and organize classroom materials
• Support teachers and administrators during family events or meetups
• Assist with worksheets or instructional materials (optional)

Requirements

• Spanish–English bilingual proficiency (all levels welcome)
• Strong communication skills in English
• Positive, responsible, and team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable working with children of various ages
• Availability afternoons, evenings, and/or Saturdays
• Reliable transportation to Montclair, NJ
